Open Bite, Front teeth don’t touch

Here is an example of an open bite where the patient’s front teeth don’t touch. Patient sucked thier thumb as a young child. During treatment the patient had braces and a special orthodontic appliance called a crib. Crib orthodontics retain the tongue and prevent  sucking on your thumb or any other fingers. The treatment for this case would have been around twenty eight months as there are several phases of treating such a wide bite.
